Unclaimed Money

How to check if you have unclaimed money
If you were previously a MyBudget client, it is possible that your employer, creditor, or anyone who used your budget to deposit funds, may have inadvertently transferred funds after your budget was closed. In the event the total value of these funds exceeds $50, and less than 7 years have passed, MyBudget will hold these funds on your behalf, under the Unclaimed Money Act 2021.

If your funds remained unclaimed for a period of 7 years, MyBudget will transfer them to the Department of Treasury and Finance, whom you may contact to recover them from.
